The Sustainable Development Centre offers an array of full-time and part-time courses. The Academic Master’s Degree Programmes, available only on a full-time basis, includes MSc Degree in Sustainable Development Studies, Climate and Society Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Migration Studies.
The Professional Master’s Degree Programmes, available in both full-time and part-time modes, encompass Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development Studies, Climate and Society Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Migration Studies.
The Centre also provides Postgraduate Diploma Programmes on both a full-time and part-time basis in Sustainable Development Studies, Climate and Society Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Migration Studies.

UNIABUJA Sustainable Development Centre Admission Requirements
Candidates applying for these programmes must meet certain criteria. They must possess five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. They should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of Second Class Honours Lower division. For postgraduate diploma programmes, admission is possible with a minimum of a Third Class Degree or Lower Credit, Higher National Diploma, or its equivalent from a recognised university. Applicants are also required to present a NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
UNIABUJA Sustainable Development Centre Courses Duration
Master’s Degree Programmes:
- Full-time: a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters
- Part-time: A minimum of six semesters and a maximum of eight semesters.
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes:
- Full-time Diploma: Minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters.
- Part-time Diploma: Minimum of four semesters and maximum of six semesters
(Field trip outside Nigeria is a mandatory requirement for all the courses)
