Remember, being admitted does not mean you have finished all registration requirements.
2. Prepare your documents
Keep all your important admission and academic documents in one place.
You will likely need them during clearance and registration.
Follow UNIBEN’s official document requirements, not lists you see on social media.
3. Make accommodation arrangements
Fresh students will move into the halls of residence on October 11, and returning students on October 18.
If you plan to stay in university accommodation, follow the official process and meet all deadlines.
4. Plan for course registration
Course registration will open on October 19 and close on November 8, 2026.
Talk to your department if you are unsure about which courses to register for.
5. Prepare financially
Resumption involves several expenses, including transportation, accommodation, feeding, academic materials and other approved university charges.
Making a budget before you travel to Benin can help you manage your money during the first few weeks.
Is October 5 the UNIBEN Resumption Date?
Let’s clear up this question.
Online clearance and registration for new students will start on October 5, 2026.
That’s why some people call it the start of the 2026/2027 academic session.

So, use the date that matches your activity instead of treating all the dates as the same.
Is UNIBEN Resumption Date for 2026/2027 Official?

The 2026/2027 schedule with the October dates is available there.
Since universities can change their calendars, check for updates from UNIBEN before finalising your travel or accommodation plans.
