Caleb University has received renewed full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for its Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme and six undergraduate degree programmes. This accomplishment highlights the university’s commitment to providing top-quality education and meeting the highest academic standards.

In a statement released by the university, the NUC accreditation was based on the results of an accreditation visit conducted in November and December 2022. The letter, signed by Arc. S.S. Ikani, Deputy Director of Programme Accreditation, confirmed the renewal of full accreditation for the university’s programmes.

The Accredited Programmes:

The full accreditation granted by the NUC covers the following degree programmes:

  1. Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  4. Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication
  5. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  6. Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology

Additionally, the Psychology programme received full accreditation.

Emphasis on Timely Doctorate Degree Completion:

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie stressed the importance of postgraduate students working towards completing their doctorate degree programmes within three years. He also encouraged departments to graduate PhD students within the same time frame, ensuring efficient progress in their academic pursuits.

Global Academic Benchmark Evaluation:

During a PhD post-field presentation by three students of the Department of Architecture, Prof. Adedeji Daramola, Professor of Architecture and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), joined a foreign team of assessors in the UK to evaluate the presentations using global academic benchmarks and criteria. This collaborative effort aimed to enhance the robustness and quality of PhD work at Caleb University, aligning it with global standards.
