University of Abuja, UNIABUJA 25th and 26th convocation ceremonies for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic sessions respectively.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), and chairman of the 25th and 26th Convocation Ceremonies Committee, Professor Clement Alawa, who disclosed this to the University of Abuja Bulletin, said the ceremonies would hold across four days, to avoid a large crowd.
He said, “We are ready for the 25th and 26th Convocation Ceremony of the University. The different sub-committees have been working hard. We all want to ensure that we have a befitting ceremony. It is going to take place between Tuesday 22nd February 2022 and Friday 25th February 2022.
He added that the “investiture of Chancellor and award of first degrees for faculties of Social Sciences, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine and College of Health Sciences will be on Tuesday 22nd February 2022.
Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Management Science will be Wednesday 23rd February 2022.
Faculties of Education, Arts, Institute of Education and Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDL&CE) will be on Thursday 24th February 2022.
Convocation Lecture and Award of Postgraduate degrees & Diploma will be on Friday 25th February 2022.
According to Alawa the postponement of the ceremony in October last year was due to the appearance of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. Alawa urged the graduating students to continue to be patient, saying the University will always want the best for them.
