We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Lead, Project & Structured Finance

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the tangible and intangible economic benefits of the project financing based on cashflow analysis
  • Monitor business climate, trends in technology and development, and government activity in areas of the company’s current and anticipated investment or expansion
  • Review valuation for business and financial assets and develop risk management processes
  • Prepare collateral and presentation materials to facilitate communications with existing and prospective partners
  • Perform calculations and modelling of the cost of capital and demonstrates a working knowledge of the regulatory framework in providing advice on the deal structure
  • Oversee and develop loan market insights and guidance on syndicated financing
  • Align lenders and borrowers’ objectives to ensure compliance with the terms of the Credit Agreement and other governing documents
  • Guide team on due diligence procedures
  • Conduct investigation of the target firm’s financial circumstances and various other related factors
  • (operational, legal, HR, Tax etc.)
  • Review and reports on the findings of Due Diligence engagements.
  • Incorporate error detection and consistency checks in financial models to ensure data integrity
  • Propose business plans and strategies based on analyses and understanding of segment, market, and industry
  • Assist in the origination of a pipeline of infrastructure finance projects and screen investment opportunities through client outreach, marketing, and deal screening
  • Provide recommendations related to industry and company analysis; evaluate and properly interpret the influence of the macroeconomic environment on the organisation.
  • Leverage business intelligence through analysis of data to facilitate deal structuring
  • Drive conversion of business development plans into real business for the organisation from all segments of the project financing market
  • Ensure for all deals that appropriate legal documentation is successfully concluded in line with approvals and that financial close is achieved in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Capital Markets, corporate finance, or accounting experience
  • Relevant professional qualification such as CFA, ACA etc Prior experience in the financial services industry interest in financial products and markets Interest in financial products and markets
