Sydney Scholars Awards in Australia is open for International Students. The scholarship allows for the undergraduate level program (s) in all courses taught at the University of Sydney.

Scholarship Benefits

There are 2 Sydney Scholars Awards valued at $6000 per year, which are tenable for 1 to 5 years (including for combined undergraduate degrees):

The Scholarship will be paid in 2 instalments. To receive the second instalment of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 75. The Scholarship cannot be extended or renewed.

Eligibility Criteria for Sydney Awards

1. Applicants must either be domestic students (which includes New Zealand citizens), or international students who have recently completed an International Baccalaureate (or educational award equivalent to the HSC), who are applying for admission through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
2. They must have achieved an ATAR of 95 or above (if they are applying to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music or the Sydney Dental School, they must receive an ATAR of 90 or above). They have to be applying in the year that they complete their secondary education.
3. They should have achieved excellent results in their NSW HigherSchool Certificate Examination or international equivalent. They will award the scholarship based on academic merit and a personal statement to support the scholarship application.
4. The University is looking for all-around students who show leadership skills and involvement in school, community, and extracurricular activities.

Application Procedure

The scholarship application deadline for Semester 1, 2021, admission is 30 September 2020. When applying for the scholarship online, you must submit all supporting documents, including a Personal Statement.
