However, a common misconception among Indians is that there are no scholarship opportunities available for Indian students. Well, that’s not true.  Some governments and universities around the world offer scholarships specially designed for Indians.

Below are some of the scholarships for Indian students:

1. Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford University for International Students

This is one of the scholarships for Indian students. And it is for a Masters/Ph.D. Degree. Also, though the deadline varies, annually, it is July-October.

This is a scholarship for postgraduate awards. And it supports exceptional all-around students at the University of Oxford.

However, it is for students who are not for existing Rhodes constituencies. The host institution is Oxford University in the UK.

However, subject to limited restrictions, note. Rhodes Scholars may study for any full-time postgraduate degree at the University of Oxford.

Additionally, it covers all University and College fees. Also, it covers the University application fee. Again, it covers a living stipend.  And it covers one economy class airfare to Oxford.

2. Australia Awards Scholarship

Also, this is one of the scholarships for Indian students. And it is provided by the Australian Government. Also, it covers Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. Degrees.

And the deadline is 30 June 2022. And it covers full tuition fees and returns air travel. Also, it covers the establishment allowance.

And it covers a contribution to living expenses (CLE). It provides opportunities for people from developing countries, like India.

However, to be eligible you must be a minimum of 18 years of age. This is on 1 February of the year of commencing the scholarship.

3. DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Masters Scholarship for Public Policy and Good Governance

Also, this is one of the scholarships for Indian students. And it is for a Master’s Degree. The deadline is 31 July 2022.

And it offers very good graduates from developing countries the chance to obtain a Master’s degree. See the List of Eligible Countries.

However, it is in disciplines that are of special relevance for the social, political, and economic development of your home country. And it is at German institutions of higher education. Additionally, it covers tuition fees.

Also, DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 850 €. And it includes contributions to health insurance in Germany. Also, it covers an appropriate travel allowance. And it covers a study and research subsidy.

4. International Water Centre Scholarship for International Students

Also, this is one of the scholarships for Indian students. And it is for a Masters (MS) Degree. The deadline is on 1 Aug 2022.

And it is awarded annually to high calibre candidates. However, they must clearly demonstrate the potential to become future water leaders.

Also, it is Griffith University, Australia. To apply for a scholarship, note. You must have completed an undergraduate degree in a related field of study.

However, this should be from an internationally-recognized institution. Also, you must have at least two years of professional experience. This is paid work or volunteering experience relevant to the program.

5. Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) International Scholarship

Also, this is one of the scholarships for Indian students. And it is at Flinders University, Australia. Also, it covers a Masters/Ph.D. Degree.

The application deadline is 7 Aug 2022. And it is specifically intended to support international students like Indian students.

Also, it covers a full-time Research Higher Degree. And it targets citizens of any overseas country except New Zealand. Also, it covers international student tuition fees.

And it covers a generous living allowance. This is paid at the rate of $28,092. Additionally, it covers an establishment allowance of up to $1,485.

6. Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI)

Also, this is one of the scholarships for Indian students. And it is for a Masters/Ph.D. DegreeThe deadline is 13 Jan/10 July 2022 annually.

Also, it offers a number of financial assistance to outstanding international graduates. The host is the University of Adelaide, Australia.

And it covers study fields like Master’s degree by Research or Doctoral Research Degree in all disciplines offered at the University. It is targeted at International students (except New Zealand)

7. ADB Scholarships at University of Auckland

Also, this is one of the scholarships for Indian students. And it covers a Master’s Degree. The application deadline is 19 July 2022.

Also, it aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries. Additionally, it is to undertake postgraduate studies.
