Rivers State Government Scholarship 2021/2022 Portal Update

The Rivers State Government is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their Rivers State Government Scholarship Scheme for students. It is a fully-funded scholarship for masters students. Scroll down to read in details.

Rivers State Government Scholarship

Its capital and largest city, Port Harcourt, is economically significant as the centre of Nigeria’s oil industry. According to census data released in 2006, the state has a population of 5,198,716, making it the sixth-most populous state in the country.

Eligibility and Requirements.

To qualify for the 2021 Rivers State government Scholarship Award Scheme, applicants must;

  1. Be Rivers State indigene
  2. Have Five (5) credit grades in WASC/GCE/SSCE, including Maths, English and 3 other relevant subjects got in one sitting.
  3. For undergraduate students, applicants must be full-time (100 LEVEL) degree students of the under-listed courses in Rivers State (the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rivers State College of Arts and Science, Rivers State Polytechnic, Rivers State University, University of Port Harcourt).

How to Apply.

To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST apply with the following information:

  • Other Names.
  • The functional E-mail address and phone number.

And attach scanned copies of the original:

  • Admission letter into an institution with information on the study, year of entry and duration.
  • SSCE/GCE O’Level Certificate.
  • Evidence of State of Origin / Local Government.
  • School ID card or National ID or Driver’s Licence or International passport.
