Pakistan Engineering Congress: 15th Engineering Practice Examination

Pakistan Engineering Congress/Council (PEC) is the engineering body was initiated by Punjab Engineering Congress in 1912. PEC has activities in sharing both  knowledge and experiences in the engineering practices to everyone who want to be a professional engineer. PEC has authority to helds engineering practice examination (EPE) for professional engineer (PE). If you are a registered engineer, The EPE is optional for you, but it is an important part of assessment for the title of professional engineer (PE).

15th EPE will be held simultaneously in five major cities in Pakistan: Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore and Quetta.

Eligibility for EPE

General Eligibility

  • You have five years of professional experience start from the registration date with PEC until announcement closing date;
  • You have 17 CPD points since July 10, 2010.

Specific Criteria

  • To be allowed to sit in EPE exam you must hold EPE roll no slip, original CNIC, and original PEC registration card;
  • EPE exam will be started at 10.00 hours and the candidate must report at the center at least one hour before the exam;
  • Once the exam is started, there is no candidate allowed to the examination hall;
  • Please note that you CANNOT use any programmable calculator, iPod, personal computer/laptop, mobile phone,  as well as any storage devices/gadget in the examination hall. You can use only simple calculator;
  • The exam consists of two parts in will be held in the same day: Part I (about two hours) and Part II (about three hours). You have 90 minutes break in between;
  • Final scores to be qualified for each part must be at least 60%. The candidate shall have to pass each part independently. If any candidate does not qualify in any Part, he shall be eligible to appear in the same part in the next three consecutive examinations. In case of not qualifying or not appearing in the next three consecutive examinations, the candidate shall be declared as not qualified and may appear in both parts;
  • EPE Exam will be based on Multiple Choice of Questions (MCQs);
  • The Part II of EPE exam will be open book method. You can only use books as well as bound copies will be allowed. Loose paper or notes or handouts are not permitted;
  • The final result will be announced through PEC website;
  • The examination process cannot be influenced by candidate and PEC staff. Any frauds will be disqualified;
  • Candidate is NOT allowed to indulge any Law & Order situation to affect the exam process and result.
