The Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in Okitipupa, Ondo State, is set to hold its first-ever convocation ceremony on March 25, 2023. This historic event will see 982 graduands from five academic sessions—2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2018/2019, and 2019/2020—receive their hard-earned degrees.

The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, announced the convocation during a press conference on Monday, March 20. This event marks a significant milestone for OAUSTECH as it recognizes the academic achievements of its students and celebrates the growth of the institution.
Graduating Classes and Honors
Of the 982 students graduating, 26 have earned first-class honors, 307 students will receive Second Class Upper Division degrees, 488 students will be awarded Second Class Lower Division degrees, and 161 students will graduate with Third Class honors. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of OAUSTECH’s students and faculty.
Special Recognition and Awards
In addition to the awarding of degrees, the convocation ceremony will also feature the presentation of a Doctor of Business Administration (Honours Causa) to the Chancellor of the University, Oba (Dr.) Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan (Okoro Ajiga I). The Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Akinruntan, will be honored for his exceptional contributions to the field of business administration and his unwavering support for OAUSTECH.
