OOU Matriculation Ceremony Date, Time & Venue 2022/2023

Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) announces its Matriculation Ceremony for all Fresh Students of the 2022/2023 session on Wednesday, 5th July 2023. Academic gowns for the ceremony can be collected by Faculty Officers from the Directorate of Students’ Affairs starting 3rd July. Fresh students must make an online payment of One Thousand Naira (#1,000.00) for gown collection at their respective Colleges/Faculties. After the ceremony, all gowns must be returned along with a comprehensive list of students who collected them and receipts of payment by 12th July 2023. Scroll down to read in details.

Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye has announced that the 2022/2023 Matriculation Ceremony for all newly admitted students will take place on Wednesday, 5th July 2023. This significant event will be held at 11am at the OGD Hall, main campus, marking the formal admission of these students into the university.

Collecting Academic Gowns

In preparation for this momentous occasion, all Faculty Officers are expected to collect Academic Gowns for their fresh students from the Directorate of Students’ Affairs starting from Monday, 3rd July 2023.

Each newly admitted student is required to make an online payment of One Thousand Naira (#1,000.00) and obtain a receipt for the collection of the Academic Gown. The gowns can be collected at their respective Colleges/Faculties.

Matriculation Day

On the day of the matriculation, the students will be formally welcomed to the institution in a grand ceremony. This rite of passage serves as a memorable event in their academic journey at OOU.

Return of Academic Gowns

After the matriculation ceremony, each Faculty is required to return all the Academic Gowns collected to the Directorate of Students Affairs. The return of the gowns should be completed on or before Wednesday, 12th July 2023.

In addition to the gowns, the Faculties are also expected to provide a comprehensive list of students who collected the Academic Gowns. Original copies of the receipts as evidence of payment made by the students must also be included in the return.

The university administration would appreciate it if all parties involved treat this memorandum with the utmost priority it requires.
