The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is now offering the CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship. The program is open to graduate nursing students who are enrolled in a graduate nursing program at an AACN member school of nursing. Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded each semester for a total of four scholarships per academic year.

2. Vermont State Nurses Foundation Scholarships

The Vermont State Nurses Foundation establishes three scholarships named as The Arthur L. Davis Publishing Agency, Inc. Scholarship, Pat & Frank Allen Scholarship, Judy Cohen Scholarship.

If you are a registered nurse (RN) and enrolled in the nursing program, you are eligible for all three scholarships and can apply any of these scholarships. The total worth of the scholarships is $4,500.

3. Geraldine Polly Bednash Scholarship

Geraldine Polly Bednash Scholarship

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is now offering the Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Scholarship. To eligible, the applicant must be admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution affiliated with CastleBranch or have submitted your application to a nursing school through NursingCAS. Two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants four times each year.

4. The AACN Scholarship

The AfterCollege has a lofty vision: to help every college student and recent graduate discover their career path.”

At AfterCollege, the AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking a baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degree in nursing. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded each quarter.

5. F.A. Davis Nursing Scholarships

F.A. Davis is delighted to offer two nursing scholarships in 2019! $1,500 will be awarded to one undergraduate nursing student and to one graduate nursing student who is studying in the US or Canada.

6. Alabama Board of Nursing Scholarship

If you are interested in a scholarship and have an active, unencumbered Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license, the Alabama Board of Nursing Scholarship can be the perfect choice for you. The ANRC will offer Graduate Nursing Students a venue to share the latest educational information and develop school projects into CE offerings. Up to 10,000 scholarships award will be given to the winning candidates.

7. Johnson & Johnson/AACN Minority Nurse Faculty Scholars

The Johnson & Johnson/AACN Minority Nurse Faculty Scholars program provides financial support to graduate nursing students from minority backgrounds who agree to teach in a school of nursing after graduation. Students must be enrolled full-time and preference is given to students in doctoral programs.

The Scholarship is open to full-time students in doctoral and master’s programs who will serve as nurse faculty after completing their degree programs. Scholarship recipients are selected by an application review committee and are awarded $18,000.

8. NURSE Corps Scholarship Program

Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) Health Workforce is now offering the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program.

In order to apply, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized), a national, or a lawful permanent resident who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a professional nursing degree program at an accredited school of nursing in the U.S

NURSE Corps Scholarship Program

As a student accepted or enrolled in a diploma, associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree nursing program, you can receive funding for tuition, fees, and other educational costs. The winners will receive up to a monthly stipend of $1,344.

9. American Indian Nurse Scholarship

It was in 1972 when the American Indian Nurse Scholarship Award Program was created. Its main goal is to help the American Indians continue their studies in the nursing course. In return to the community, the scholars are anticipated to provide community services to the American Indians.

The scholarship grant is worth $1,500 for every semester with the condition that students must maintain good scholastic records. The grants are for school tuition fees and other academic-related expenses only. The scholarship is renewable every semester with a maintained good rating in academics.

10. Alabama Board of Nursing Scholarship

The scholarship monies are allocated to the Board from the Alabama Education Trust Fund on a fiscal year basis (October 1 through September 30). Due to changes in the law relating to nursing scholarships, we will not know the exact number of awards and the amount of each for the Fiscal Year until all applications are received.

If you are interested and are able to meet the requirements for a graduate nursing scholarship, we encourage you to proceed with the application. Completed applications must be received in the Board office on or before the due date to be considered. The announcement of scholarship recipients will be released after the November Board meeting.

To be eligible to receive a scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Have been a resident of Alabama for a period of at least one (1) year preceding application. Two (2) proofs of residency are required and must include your name, a physical Alabama address (post office boxes are not acceptable).
  • Have an active, unencumbered Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Be a person of good character.
  • Submit a complete electronic application on or before the deadline date. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure all of the required information is received by the deadline.
  • Have been admitted to an accredited graduate program within the state of Alabama seeking a graduate degree.
