UMYU Part-time Degree Programmes Admissions 2022/2023

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) is inviting applications for admission into its Part-time Degree Programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session. Candidates can apply for a wide range of programs across departments, such as Education, Humanities, and Social and Management Sciences. Entry requirements include a Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent with minimum credit passes in English and Mathematics. Application forms can be purchased online for ₦4,000. Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina, has commenced the sales of application forms for admission into its School of Continuing Education Part-time Degree Programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session. This initiative offers individuals the opportunity to advance their education while balancing work, family, and other commitments.

The sale of application forms began on the 20th of June, 2023 and will run till the 21st of August, 2023, giving interested applicants a window of two months to complete the application process.

Method of Application

All prospective candidates can purchase the application form for a sum of ₦4,000.00 (Four thousand Naira only) via the University’s Application Portal. The procedure is convenient, seamless, and can be done from any location.

Duration of the Programmes

Depending on the entry point, the duration of the programmes vary:

  • Candidates admitted through UTME: Minimum of 12 and maximum of 18 Contacts (at 3 contacts per academic session)
  • Candidates admitted through DE: Minimum of 9 and maximum of 15 Contacts (at 3 contacts per academic session)

Each Academic Session is scheduled to run for 18 Months.

  2. BSc.Ed. Chemistry: Requires English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology & any other science subject
  3. BSc.Ed. Economics: Requires English Language, Mathematics, Economics & any other two social science subjects
  4. BSc.Ed. Geography: Requires English Language, Mathematics, Geography & any other two science/social science subjects
  5. BSc.Ed. Mathematics: Requires English Language, Mathematics, Physics & any other two science subjects
  6. BSc.Ed. Physics: Requires English Language, Mathematics, Physics & any other two science subjects
  7. BA.Ed. Arabic: Requires English Language, Mathematics, Arabic & any two Arts/Social Science subjects
  8. BA.Ed. English: Requires English Language, Mathematics & any other three Arts/Social Science subjects

Direct Entry Candidates

Candidates with the National Certificate of Education (NCE) with a minimum of nine (9) points, or Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit pass, or its equivalent in relevant certificates obtained from recognized institutions, qualify for Direct Entry into Level 200. All applications will be subjected to a selection process.
