National Scholarships Portal is a one-stop platform. And through it, many services starting from student application, receipt, processing, consent, and disbursal of several scholarships to Students are approved.

The Mission Mode Project (MMP) of NSP under the National e-Governance Plan strives at presenting a common electronic portal. And this is for implementing many Scholarships projects. Also, it aims to provide scholarships for students timely.
Furthermore, it aims to provide a common portal for many Scholarships plans. Additionally, it creates a clear database of learners.
Also, it ensures no duplication is done in processing. And it synchronizes different Scholarships schemes & norms

The following are some of the NSP schemes:
1. It provides all scholarship information available under one platform. And students can easily apply through single integrated applications for all the scholarships. Thus, making the process very simple for them.
2. Also, the system of NSP suggests for the students the best scheme. And this is for which they are eligible. And it will make sure there is no repetition or duplication. This keeps a transparent record.
3. Also, it serves as a decision support system (DSS). And this is for Ministries and departments. This is as up-to-date data will be available on demand.

How to Apply for National Scholarships Portal
To apply for a scholarship under the NSP follow the steps below:
1. If you are a fresh student, note. You need to “Register” on the portal as a fresh applicant. And this is by providing accurate and authenticated information as printed on their documents in the “Student Registration Form”.
2. Also, the national scholarship form registration is required to be filled by parents/guardians of students. However, you must be below the age of 18 years on the date of registration.
3. Furthermore, before initiating the registration process, note. Your /Parents/guardians are advised to keep the following documents handy.
4. Additionally, details to be filled in the National Scholarship application form are
i. Date of Birth (DOB).
ii. Also, the State of Domicile.
ii. Again, Scholarship Category.
iv. Furthermore, the Name of the Student.
v. Also, Mobile Number.
vi. Additionally, Email Id.
vii. Again, Bank account details.
viii. Lastly, Identification Details.
5. After submitting the application, note. The default login id and password to log into the NSP Login will be sent to the provided mobile number.
However, in case the password is not received, note. The option for forgetting a password at the login page shall be used.
6. Also, you are advised to provide “Annual Family Income” as per the Income Certificate issued by a competent authority in their scholarship application.
In the Case of Existing User
1. Apply for National Scholarship Portal Renewal 2020. Do this with your ‘Application Id’ and Date of Birth which you registered the previous year.
2. Also, you can also use ‘Forgot Application ID’ to retrieve their ID.
3. Additionally, only those students would be able to renew who had actually received the scholarship payments during the previous year from NSP.
In Case of Forgot Password
If you have forgotten your password, note. There is no need to worry. You can easily change your password by NSP login into the NSP Forgot Password
NSP | Applying through its Mobile App
Considering the advent of mobile technology, the Government of India has launched its ‘National Scholarship Portal Mobile App’. This is to make scholarship applications easier. And it is to make it more convenient for students.
Thus, students can download and install the mobile app. This can be done through the Google Play Store on mobile devices. Also, there is an availability of the NSP mobile app in the ‘UMANG’ app.
As such, if you already have the UMANG app installed on your mobile devices, note. You can start applying for scholarships too. And this is by registering at NSP mobile app. Also, the app covers end to end services of the NSP.
