Lens Polytechnic Admission Requirements.

The general requirement for a National Diploma is 5 o/level credits (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalents) in not more than two sittings and a pass in JAMB UTME for the appropriate year of entry. Another mode of entry is a pass of the NVC (National Vocational Certificate) from an approved institution. Also students that have passed the pre-ND programme of the course applied for.
Specific Requirements:

  • Computer Science: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, English, one from Physics, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Info. Tech, and any 2 from Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/Science subjects in not more than two sittings.
  • Statistics: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, and four from Physics, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Info. Tech, and any 2 from Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/Science /social science subjects in not more than two sittings. At least a pass in English is allowed.
  • Business Administration: Any 5 O/Levels including English Language and Mathematics and 3 other subjects from economics, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Commerce, History, Statistics, Geography, Government, Agric Science/Biology and any other Science/Social Science subjects.
  • Accountancy: Any 5 O/Levels including English Language and Mathematics and 3 other subjects from economics, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Commerce, History, Statistics, Geography, Government, Agric Science/Biology and any other Science/Social Science subjects.
  • Mass Communication: Any 5 O/Levels including English Language one of Literature in English, Languages (Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French, Arabic etc.) and any other 3 other subjects. A pass in Mathematics is allowed.
  • Graphics Design and Advertising: Any 5 O/Level credits of Technical/Science/Social Science subjects. At least a pass in English or Mathematics but not a pass in both is allowed.
  • Multimedia Technology: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and any 3 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics/ Commerce, Accounting and other technical/Science /Social Science subjects in not more than two sittings. A pass in English is allowed for ND.
  • Electrical Electronic Engineering: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, English, Physics and any 2 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/Science subjects in not more than two sittings.
  • Computer Engineering Technology: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and any 3 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/Science subjects in not more than two sittings. A pass in English is allowed for ND.
  • Networking and System Security Engineering: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and any 3 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/science subjects in not more than two sittings.
  • Computer Hardware Engineering: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and any 3 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/science subjects in not more than two sittings. A pass in English is allowed for ND.
  • Computer Software Engineering: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, English and any 3 from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics, Further Mathematics and other technical/science subjects in not more than two sittings.
  • Telecommunication Technology: 5 O/Level credits including Mathematics, Physics and any 2 from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Technical Drawing, Economics and Further Mathematics in not more than two sittings. A pass in English is allowed for ND.

How to Apply for Lens Polytechnic Post UTME Form.

Admission into ND and Certificate Programmes at Lens Polytechnic is done from the month of August all through to October every year. The processes of application are as follows

  • Pay a Sum of N 5,000 to any First Bank Account with the following information

  • If you are eligible; fill the online form on the website and submit.
