Kogi State Polytechnic has officially commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its regular and part-time HND programmes for the 2023/2024 Academic Session.
Kogi State Polytechnic Courses Programmes & Requirements
Prospective students can apply for the following courses offered across various schools:
- School of Applied Sciences
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science: 2 Years
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics: 2 Years
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Science Laboratory Technology: 2 Years with specializations in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Environmental Biology
Entry requirements for these programs include a National Diploma in the respective field, minimum CGPA of 2.50, five O/Level credits in no more than two sittings, including English, Mathematics and other subject-specific courses. Additionally, a one-year compulsory Industrial training is required (or two years for a pass in ND result). Candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.
- School of Art Design and Printing
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Design: Specializations in Graphics, Textiles, and Ceramics
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fine Arts: Specializations in Painting and Sculpture

- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mineral/Petroleum Resources Engineering: Specializations in Mining Engineering Technology, Geological Engineering Technology, and Mineral Processing Engineering Technology

Additionally, a one-year compulsory Industrial training is required (or two years for a pass in ND result). Candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.

- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration and Management: 2 Years
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Library and Information Science: 2 Years

How to Apply for Kogi State Polytechnic HND Admission Form
Interested and qualified candidates are advised to access the application form through the school portal at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng. Applicants are required to generate two different Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) numbers for the Admission form and the screening fee respectively. The following fees apply:
- Admission Form Fee: N10,000.00
- Screening Fee: N5,000.00
- Total = N15,000.00
Important Notes
- All applicants must process and submit their Academic transcript not later than four (4) weeks (6th July, 2023) from the date of this advertisement.
- Submission of hard copy of credentials at the Polytechnic Admission office must be done on or before the closing date of the form.
- The closing date for the submission of completed forms is six weeks (20th July, 2023) from the date of this advertisement. Candidates should note that there will be no extension of the date of sale of application forms.
