The Community Solutions Program (CSP) is a one-year professional leadership development program for those striving to better their communities by addressing environmental, peace and conflict resolution, transparency and accountability, and women and gender concerns. Community leaders will be chosen to take part in the program, which will include:

Four-month Fellowship with the United States:

Community Solutions fellows are matched with host groups across the United States, where they complete a four-month internship.

Community Leadership Institute:

Community Solutions fellows take part in the Community Leadership Institute, a leadership development program that aims to improve their leadership and management abilities. Face-to-face training, online courses, professional mentoring, and networking are all part of the Institute.

Community-based initiatives:

While in the United States, Community Solutions fellows conceptualize and plan a community development initiative or project to implement once they return home, with the help of their host organization. When the fellows leave the United States, they implement these projects in their native communities.

1. J-1 visa support

2. Round-trip travel from participants’ home city to the U.S.

below to be considered for the Community Solutions Program. Applications that do not match these qualifying standards will be dismissed and the selection committee will not evaluate them.

1. You are between the ages of 25 and 38 as of January 1, 2022

2. You are a citizen of one of the eligible countries listed below

3. You are living and working in your home country

4. They may accord individuals who act on behalf of their home community and have refugee status a particular consideration.

5. You’ve worked on community development for at least two years, either as a full-time or part-time employee or as a volunteer.

6. You are currently enrolled in no academic, training, or research program in the United States.

7. You have a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English at the time of application

8. Semifinalists will be required to take or submit recent scores for a TOEFL or IELTS English language test

9. You are available to travel to the U.S. for four months, from August to December 2022

10. You are not a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. and have not applied for U.S. permanent residency within the past three years

11. You are eligible to receive a U.S. J-1 visa.

12. Applicants who have taken part in an exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Government must have fulfilled their two-year home residency requirement
