Contents
The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), publishes academic information to help students understand when major activities are expected to take place.
However, applicants and students should distinguish between a university-published calendar and an estimated timetable shared by an education website.
Although some third-party websites have published pages claiming to contain the FUPRE Academic Calendar 2026/2027, an official calendar for this session has not independently confirmed the dates.
For that reason, students should not treat unofficial dates as final.
To check for an official announcement, visit the university’s website:

Fresh students are candidates who have recently secured admission into FUPRE and are preparing to begin their university education.
The university’s official announcement will confirm the resumption date for fresh students in the 2026/2027 session.
Once the university announces a date, newly admitted students should complete the required registration and clearance procedures within the stated period.
Before travelling to campus, make sure you have checked your admission status, received the relevant instructions and identified the documents required for registration.
Do not rely on an estimated resumption date from an unofficial website when making travel or accommodation arrangements.
FUPRE Resumption Date for Returning Students 2026/2027
Returning students should also monitor the official FUPRE academic calendar for their resumption and registration dates.
The registration period for returning students may differ from that of fresh students.
Therefore, students should not assume all student categories have the same deadline.
Before the session begins, returning students should review their outstanding academic requirements, confirm their financial obligations through authorised university channels and prepare for course registration.
Students who have outstanding issues from the previous session should contact the appropriate department or university office for guidance.
FUPRE First-Semester Academic Activities 2026/2027
The first semester generally covers the initial period of the academic session.

Do not assume that orientation and matriculation will occur on the same date. Follow the university’s separate notices where applicable.
Lectures and Continuous Assessment
Attend lectures regularly and monitor departmental announcements concerning assignments, practical sessions, tests and other assessments.
Keeping up with coursework from the start of the semester helps you prepare for examinations without unnecessary pressure.
Revision and Examinations
The calendar should identify the revision period and examination dates.
Use these dates to organise your study timetable and ensure you complete the required registration.
Students should confirm examination venues, schedules and eligibility requirements through the appropriate university channels.
FUPRE Second-Semester Academic Activities 2026/2027

Keep your admission notification, academic credentials and other requested documents available.
Confirm the exact requirements in the official registration instructions.
Plan your accommodation. Students travelling to Effurun should make arrangements based on confirmed dates, not rumours.
Prepare for course registration.
Returning students should review their programme requirements and consult their departments if they are uncertain about course selection.
Organise your finances.
Check the approved fee schedule and payment instructions before making payments.
Use authorised university channels and keep receipts.
Monitor official announcements.
Important updates may concern resumption, registration deadlines, examinations or changes to previously announced dates.
Why You Should Follow the Official FUPRE Academic Calendar
The academic calendar is more than a list of dates.
It helps students plan their academic responsibilities and avoid missing important deadlines.
For example, a student who misses a registration deadline may need to follow additional procedures, depending on university regulations.
A student who does not record examination dates may also struggle to prepare adequately.
Using the correct calendar helps you coordinate lectures, assignments, examinations, accommodation and personal commitments.
However, always check whether the university has published a revised calendar.
If the university changes a date, the latest official announcement should take priority over an older copy.
