Programme Benefits

Notably, successful graduates from the FUHSO Remedial Sciences and IJMB programmes are given priority in UME placement, especially those who score ‘A’ in each subject with at least 75% attendance, choose FUHSO as their first choice in JAMB/UTME, and meet the university’s cut-off mark for their course of choice.

Moreover, the programmes offer two semesters of intensive teaching, coaching, and laboratory exercises that prepare students for IJMB examinations, facilitating their admission into the 200 level of any Degree programme at FUHSO or Science programmes at other Nigerian universities.

Entry Requirements and Programme Objectives

Candidates are required to possess a minimum of 3 O’ Level Credits in subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Agric Science, or Geography. It should be noted that both the Remedial Sciences and IJMB Programmes are strictly science-oriented.

FUHSO’s Remedial Sciences and IJMB programmes aim to remedy O’ Level deficiencies and prepare candidates for future academic pursuits. These include an intensive 7-month JAMB/UMTE coaching clinic, a rigorous 9-month teaching and laboratory exercise programme, and a two-semester IJMB programme.

Application Procedure

Prospective students are to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦10,000 through REMITA and obtain an electronic or soft copy of their payment receipt. Afterward, they can visit the university’s website at www.fuhso.edu.ng, click on ‘View Details’ on the FUHSO Remedial Science Form Banner or ‘Remedial Science Form’ under ‘Events,’ and follow the given instructions to complete the application form.

Application forms are available online on the University’s portal, and the sale of these forms will continue until July 4 2023.
