Carnegie’s Africa program focuses on the economic, political, and transnational issues shaping the African continent’s stability and prosperity. The dynamic landscape of rapid technological change in Africa is a key priority for the program.
The Fellow or Senior Fellow will anchor Carnegie Africa’s work on technology by tracking major trends in digital innovation and regulation in Africa; helping define the research agenda on technology for the Africa Program; producing high-quality analysis that yields policy insights on digital innovation and regulation; and coordinating the program’s public and private dialogue on technology in Africa, including in-country consultations and making selective media appearances.
Eligibility
- The chosen candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience with private sector experience preferred; a graduate degree is strongly preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the tech policy and regulatory landscape in Africa, excellent analytical skills including the ability to work with datasets, excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of French is preferred.
