Africa No Filter, in partnership with Electric South, Imisi 3D and Meta, invites Extended Reality Creators to apply for grants to support the production and development of new content. In a bid to support a thriving XR Ecosystem, Africa No Filter will be commissioning work which uses immersive technology to tell exciting stories about Africa. Grantees will be supported with on-going mentorship and production support by Electric South and will also have the opportunity to showcase their projects in a virtual or in-person showcase.

Grants

  • Up to $30,000 will be awarded to the winners.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years old;
  • Must be living on the continent and be of African descent;
  • Must have previous experience with XR content creation and at least 1 completed XR project;
  • Must have a portfolio of work accessible online;
  • Proposed project must be completed within 6 months;
  • Applicant must be available on the dates below if selected.
  • Eligible projects include 360 video, virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.
