15. Japanese Government Scholarships for International Undergraduate Students

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as undergraduate students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2021.

The scholarship includes tuition and other fees, allowance of 117,000 yen per month, an additional monthly stipend of 2,000 or 3,000 yen may be provided to those undertaking study or research in specially designated regions, and travel costs to and from Japan.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are for candidates from least developed and lower-middle-income Commonwealth countries, for full-time Master’s study on selected courses, jointly supported by UK universities.

The scholarships do not cover undergraduate courses, Ph.D. study, or any pre-sessional English language teaching.

Each Scholarship provides approved tuition and examination fees, approved airfare from your home country to the UK and return at the end of your award.

Also a stipend at the rate of £1,084 per month, or £1,330 per month for those studying at universities in the London metropolitan area (rates quoted at 2018-2019 levels), warm clothing allowance, study travel grant, and excess baggage allowance.

20. Orange Knowledge Program

The Orange Knowledge Program aims to advance the development of the capacity, knowledge, and quality of both individuals.

Scholarships are available for a selection of short courses (duration 2 weeks to 12 months) and master’s programs (duration 12 – 24 months).

An OKP scholarship is intended to supplement the salary that you should continue to receive during the study period in the Netherlands.

The allowance is a contribution towards your costs of living such as tuition fees, visa, travel, insurance, etc.

If applicable, the scholarship holder is expected to cover the difference between the actual costs and the OKP scholarship amount.
