Abia State University Uturu, ABSU has matriculated 6,483 Students in her 36th Matriculation Ceremony for the 2017/2018 Academic Session. The event which held Thursday March 1st 2018, at the University Pavilion had 6,243 Regular UTME admission, 192 Postgraduate Student, and 48 Students from the Institute for Continuing Education.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor E. Uche Ikonne thanked the Governor and Visitor to Abia State University, Victor Ikpeazu PhD for his unprecedented commitment and active participation in the academic and infrastructural development of the Institution.
He congratulated the Matriculating Students on their admission into a world class University; Abia State University charged them to register courses online so as to have their results uploaded on the portal at the end of the each semester.
The Vice-Chancellor warned the students not to engage in any form of exam malpractice, cultism, or any form of vices in the University to avoid expulsion.
The ceremony was graced by Parents/Guardians of matriculating Students, ABSU Senate, dignitaries from all walks of life, traditional rulers, clergymen and students of the University.
