Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, under the leadership of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor A.S. Adagbonyin, has approved the Academic Calendar for the 2022/2023 academic session. This calendar provides a detailed timeline of academic activities for both fresh and returning students.

The Academic Calendar: Key Dates and Deadlines

The academic calendar for the 2022/2023 session is as follows:

  • Saturday, 1 July, 2023: Fresh students come into campus.
  • Monday, 3 July, 2023: Course registration and orientation for fresh students begin.
  • Friday, 7th July, 2023: Old students come into campus.
  • Monday, 10th July 2023: Course registration for old students begin.
  • Tuesday, 11 July, 2023: First Semester lectures for fresh and old students begin.
  • Friday, 28th July, 2023: Matriculation ceremony.
  • Monday, 31 July, 2023: Course registration for all students ends.
  • Monday, 7 August, 2023: Late course registration for all students ends.
  • Thursday, 17th August, 2023: Continuous Assessment for all students.
  • Saturday, 23 September 2023: First Semester lectures end.
  • Thursday 28th September, 2023: First Semester Examinations begin with GST and ENT courses.
  • Saturday, 28 October, 2023: First Semester Examinations end.

Following a break, the Second Semester commences:

  • Sunday, 5 November, 2023: Students resume for Second Semester.
  • Monday, 6th November, 2023: Second Semester lectures begin.
  • Monday, 18th December-Friday, 22nd December, 2023: Continuous Assessment for all students.
  • Saturday, 23 December, 2023: Christmas break begins.
  • Thursday, 4th January, 2024: Continuation of Second Semester lectures.
  • Wednesday, 7th February, 2024: Second Semester lectures end.
  • Monday, 12th February, 2024: Second Semester Examinations begin with GST and ENT courses.
  • Friday, 15th March, 2024: Second Semester Examinations end.

In conclusion of the academic session:

  • Monday, 15th April, 2024: Faculty Boards meet to consider results.
  • Wednesday, 17th-Thursday, 18th April, 2024: Business Committee of Senate meets to consider results.
  • Monday, 22nd-Wednesday, 24th April, 2024: Meeting of Senate to consider results and end of session.
