Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma has officially opened its application process for the 2023/2024 academic session. The university now welcomes all suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) programme.
Understanding the IJMBE Programme

IJMBE is a national examination body endorsed by the Federal Government of Nigeria and accredited by the Nigerian University Commission (NUC) as an Advanced Level (A/L) examination. This prestigious program is designed to prepare candidates for higher-level education, offering qualifying students the opportunity to gain 200-level admission into Ambrose Alli University or any other Nigerian University via Direct Entry (DE). Furthermore, the IJMBE certificate is recognized by several foreign universities for admission.
Programme Requirements
Prospective applicants are expected to possess at least five (5) credit passes in not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/WASC/GEC O’ Level/NECO/NABTEB. These credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, and at least three (3) relevant subjects. Admitted candidates will also be required to select three (3) subject combinations related to their desired course of study at the university.
Duration of the Programme
The IJMBE programme is scheduled to last twelve (12) calendar months, which will be split into two (2) semesters.
Subject Combinations
Each candidate for the IJMBE programme is expected to offer three (3) combinable subjects at the Advanced Level relevant for the pursuance of a University degree on successful completion of the IJMBE programme. These combinations relate to Direct Entry requirements for various programmes of study in the university as specified in the JAMB brochure.

How to Apply for AAU IJMB Admission Form
To apply for the IJMBE programme, applicants are advised to visit the AAU website @ www.aauekpoma.edu.ng or directly access the application portal at https://aauportal.school/ijmb/login.
The university has set the application deadline for the 15th of July, 2023. Therefore, prospective applicants are encouraged to complete and submit their applications before the set deadline to be considered for admission.
