Job Overview

  • The Director will support strategic revenue growth of the HR Consulting practice by leading and developing teams that provide HR Consulting support to external clients.

Consultative Selling Responsibilities

  • Develop responses to requests for proposals from current clients and prospects
  • Research existing client relationships to proactively identify additional consulting needs and cross-sell services within GBS and across AJG
  • Assist in the generation of leads for new clients through prospecting activities including meeting with referrals and networking
  • Enhance our brand name and reputation by building relationships with professional associations, acquiring speaking engagements, presenting webinars, and networking at appropriate events and conferences
  • Support marketing initiatives

Practice Management:

  • Manages a team of HR Consultants with varying levels of experience
  • Strong understanding of technical knowledge of all HR laws and compliance regulations in the U.S.
  • Responsible for strategy and delivering the right services in a profitable and sustainable way • Drive strategic initiatives within the practice
  • Recruit, hire, train and manage a new team

Consulting Projects:

  • Manage and oversee complex projects of varying types including but not limited to (HR Assessments, Employee Handbooks, Training, Leave Management, Respectful Workplace Programs, etc.)
  • Advise, problem solve and offer solutions on issues of legal HR Compliance
  • Consult with clients on a variety of HR projects
  • Collaborate with other consultants

Position Requirements

  • BA / BS Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Ten or more years of experience in human resources, with at least three years of consulting experience
  • Five or more years of experience managing a team
  • Analytical thinker and creative problem-solver; collaboration, flexibility and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze multifaceted human capital issues and design viable solutions
  • Strategic thinker with the desire to aggressively seek new challenges
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and adapting to changing client needs
  • 50% Travel is required and based on client need.
