Job Description
- Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing and information recovery.
- Consult with users, management, vendors and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirement.
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors and others to solicit cooperation and resolve the problem.
- Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
- Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirement.
- Control operational budget and expenditures.
- Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
- Assign and review the work of systems analyst, programmers, and other computer related workers.
- Evaluate the organizations technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
- Purchase necessary equipment.
- Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
- Manage the organisation’s security i.e. CCTV, fire detectors. Laws, Regulations & Policies
- Follows all applicable laws.
- Social Responsible Business: Show involvement and be interested in environmental and/ or social issues by participating in Social Responsible Business hotel and departmental activities.
- Daily inspection of all hotel IT equipment and facility items MUST be conducted.
- Daily maintenance routine check MUST be conducted.
- Employee Relation
- Fosters and develops effective employee relations throughout the hotel
- Establishes and maintains effective internal communications, attending weekly departmental meetings to ensure optimum team work and productivity Good knowledge of hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures Ability to multitask and learn new tasks and procedures.
- Dependable and good ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff within the IT team.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND, B.Eng, BSc in relevant fields.
