The Hector Macaskill Memorial Scholarship in Children’s Librarianship is a scholarship offered by the Victoria University of Wellington, a university located in the city of Wellington. Once established by the Trustees of the National Library, this scholarship is given out to students of all nationalities.

This scholarship is offered out to all interested PhD students who are keen on the field of librarianship and are planning to pursue a research degree in Library and Information Studies at the Victoria University of Wellington. Not only will librarianship be the main focus, but future candidates of this scholarship will be required to focus on the topic of library service or literature for children and young people.

The Roper Scholarship in Science is a scholarship offered by the University of Canterbury, considered as New Zealand’s second oldest university located in the city of Christchurch. This three-year scholarship is offered to future PhD scholars coming from both domestic and international nationalities.

This scholarship is given out to scholars who are planning to pursue their PhD degree at the Faculty of Science in the University of Canterbury. All in all, students are free to choose whatever program they wish to pursue, so long as that program is taught by the faculty in the university.
