The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) is now accepting applications from appropriately qualified applicants for their Commonwealth postgraduate scholarship for Masters students. It is a partially funded scholarship for all students. Scroll down to read in details.

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) awards over 900 scholarships and fellowships for postgraduate study and professional development of Commonwealth citizens each year.

The CSC aims to contribute to the UK’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, support excellence in UK higher education, and sustain the principles of the Commonwealth.

class level plus a Master’s degree. The CSC cannot assess work experience in lieu of this minimum academic qualification.

This programme does not support pre-sessional English courses. Universities must therefore confirm that candidates are sufficiently fluent in written and oral English to pursue their studies immediately and ensure that they meet the English language requirement set by UK Visas and Immigration.

Candidates are required to sign an undertaking that they:

1. Are nationals of a least developed or lower-middle-income Commonwealth country

2. Are permanently domiciled in the least developed and lower-middle-income Commonwealth country, and are not at present living or studying in a high-income country

3. Have not undertaken studies for one (academic) year or more in a high-income country

4. Have not worked for one year or more in a high-income country

5. Are they, or through their families, unable to pay to study in the UK (the university may be asked to state its procedures for verifying applicants’ financial status)

6. Will return to their home country within one month of the end date of their scholarship

7. These eligibility criteria are subject to minor changes.

CommonWealth Scholarship Benefits

Commonwealth Scholarships are fully funded scholarships in the UK. The Scholarship is totally sponsored by the UK Government. This help students from the Commonwealth Region achieve their dreams educationally. You’re entitled to:

  • Books Allowance
  • VISA and Travel fees
  • Feeding Allowance
  • Any other expenses,

How to Apply for Commonwealth Scholarship

The applicant should know that  Commonwealth Scholarships are mostly applied during the November period yearly. Unless the Scholarship is an affiliate to some international institutions.

You must make your application using the CSC’s online application system, besides any other application that you are required to complete by your nominating body. The CSC will not accept any applications that are not submitted via the online application system.
