NECO SSCE result statistics: 60.74 per cent of candidates got more than five credits, including Mathematics and English Language. Scroll down to read in details.
The National Examination Council (NECO) reports that a minimum of 727,864, or 60.74 per cent of the 1,198,412 candidates who took the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) this year, got at least five credits, including English language and Mathematics.
889,188 candidates out of the total number of those who took the school-based examinations this year got five credits in English language, representing 74.89 per cent.
Similarly, 929,140 candidates obtained credits or higher in Mathematics.
The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO Professor Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi announced the release of the results on Thursday at the NECO headquarters in Minna, the capital of Niger State. He stated that a total of 1,209,703 students registered for this year’s Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations, with males accounting for 636,324 and females for 573,376.
