Applications for the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition 2020 are now open. The MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition (ASC) is a yearly competition initiated by the MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab since 2006. This annual competition is designed to empower entrepreneurs and foster an eco-system of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Arab Region.
The MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition has evolved into an annual occurrence that is awaited by thousands of young Arab entrepreneurs, who see it as a platform that allows them to showcase, test and develop their creative and innovative ideas. Each year, the competition incorporates three tracks: The Ideas track, the Startups track and the Social Entrepreneurship track.
Prizes
- The winning teams are awarded $160,000 USD in equity free fund
- They also benefit from a range of other activities including top tier trainings, mentorship, coaching, media exposure and great networking opportunities.
Eligibility
- Ideas Track
- At least two members
- Proof of concept & prototype
- Validated business model & clear plan to grow
- Has a mentor/industry Expert
- Should be in Tech or Digital industry
- Startups Track
- At least two members
- Working product/service, traction and sales
- Generating revenues
- Have not raised funding above $1,500,000 USD
- Legally registered/operating in an Arab country
- Should be in Tech or Digital industry
- Social Entrepreneurship Track
- At least two members
- Working product/service, traction and sales
- Generating revenues
- Have not raised funding above $1,500,000 USD
- Legally registered/operating in an Arab country
- Should be in Tech or Digital industry
- Addressing a social challenge
